A dessert digestive

  • 300g fresh figs
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • Rose petals
  • 8 drops of rose water
  • 200ml double cream
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 100g sugar
  1. Cut the figs into 4 quarters remove the skin and reserve. In a saucepan melt half the sugar, add 2-3 teaspoons of water and allow to cool.  Now add the very cold drops of rose water to this syrup and let the figs soak in it for a few minutes. Whip the cream with the remaining sugar and cheese, serve in individual bowls then add the figs, rose petals and poppy seeds.
