- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 3 eggs
- 30 cl. cream
- 25 cl. milk
- 150 gr. grated gruyere cheese
- 300 gr. smoked bacon
- Cover a pie dish with puff pastry, prick the dough with a fork and bake at 180ºC for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and reserve.
- In a bowl mix the egg with the cream, grated cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg, reserve.
- In a frying pan without oil, saute the bacon until golden brown. Add the bacon to the pie crust and fill with the mixture of cream, cheese and egg. Bake at 250ºC for 25 minutes until the egg stiffens and the quiche is browned. Serve with salad.
You can also use empanada pastry for this dish. And you can fill with with vegetables or mushrooms as well. When baking, place the quiche in the lower part of the oven so the pastry cooks through.
