- 1 small tart apple
- 4 limes
- 500 gr. cockles
- Salt flakes
- Some chives
- Place the cockles in a saucepan with half a cup of boiling water for less than a minute. When they emerge from their shells, cool in ice water.
- Mix the cockles in a bowl with the apple – cut into small sticks, the chopped chives, a few flakes of salt and the juice of half a lime. Add the cockles to hollowed out limes and serve.
You can use the skin of citrus fruits to present any number of snacks. It is also possible to make this recipe with mussels and clams.
