Ingredients
- 1 pumpkin
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp pepper
- For sweet and sour sauce
- 1/2 cup of pinapple juice
- 1/4 cup of ketchup
- 1/2 cup of vinager
- 3 spoons of brown suger
- 1 teaspoon of cornflour
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1tbsp pepper
- Seitan in sweet and sour sauce with pumpkin cubes
- 18 slices of seitan
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- cubes of pumpkin and vegetables stirfried
- Sweet and sour sauce
Preparation
- Peel and dice the pumpkin.
- Put the diced pumpkin in a pot of water with salt and cook over a medium heat until the pumpkin is tender.
- Chop up the peppers and onion and saute in olive oil.
- Add the pumpkin and continue to sauté until the pumpkin begins to take on a golden color.
- Add in a pot the pinapple juice, ketchup and brown suger
- Cook until it is rudeced to half or the vinager has evaporated
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Mix the cornflour with a bit of water and put into the pot
- Cook the sweet and sour sauce until it has thickened.
- Pour oil in frying pan for frying
- Pat the slices of seitan in flour and fry until brown
- Absorb ay excess oil on kitchen paper
- Serve each dish 3 slices of seitan with vegetables. Put the pumpkin to one side and por the sauce on top of the seitan.
