Fruit ngiri sushi

Ingredients

    • 100 gr. Strawberries
    • 1 mango
    • 1 kiwi
    • 200 gr. sushi rice
    • 1 ginger root

Method

  1. Rinse the under the cold, running water.  Add to a saucepan with a ginger root and a pinch of salt, and cover with twice the volume of water. Cook rice for 10 minutes over a low heat with the lid on. Then let the rice cool.
  2. Thinly slice the fruit and then cut into 1cm x 1cm squares.
  3. Lay out asquare of fruit on some cling film. Top with rice. Roll up the cling film, pressing doen so the rice sticks to the fruit
  4. Unroll the cling film and  serve the rice balls with fruit.

Tip

Moisten your hands when handling the rice so it doesn't stick to your fingers.
