Chocolate covered marzipan tartlet

Ingredients

    • 500 gr. almond powder
    • 50 ml. almond liqueur
    • 1 Egg
    • 100 gr. icing sugar
    • 1 sheet short-crust pastry
    • 200 gr. chocolate (70% cocoa)
    • 100 gr. butter

Method

  1. Mix the almond with the liqueur, sugar and Egg until all ingredients form a smooth, slightly moist, even marzipan mixture.   
  2. Line ramekins with pastry and fill with marzipan. Bake at 180ºC for 20-25 minutes until the tarts are cooked.
  3. While the tarts are in the oven, melt chocolate and butter over a bain marie.
  4. Top the tartlets with melted chocolate and allow to cool again.

Tip

You can accompany these tartlets with berries and chocolate sauce. You can also add fruit marzipan. .
