Ingredients

    • 150g butter
    • 100g sugar
    • 150ml double cream
    • 300g cooking chocolate (70% cocoa)
    • 100g Cocoa powder
    • 1 beer 
100g flour
    • 200ml olive oil

Method

  1. Prepare a traditional truffle dough – you can follow the recipe for chocolate truffles in this section.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the flour with the beer until you have a smooth even batter.
  3. Roll the truffle balls in the batter, and fry the fritters in hot oil. Dry them on kitchen paper and serve immediately, still warm.

Tip

Add cocoa powder to the batter.
