Ingredients

    • 4 golden delicious apples
    • 4 cinnamon sticks
    • 200g sugar
    • 1 tablespoon honey

Method

  1. Removes the apple cores and pips and fill whole with sugar. Roast the apples at 180 degrees for 45 minutes until very tender - they should melt in the mouth. Serve with a spoonful of honey.
  2. If you mush up the apple with a pinch of cinnamon, removing the skin, you’ll get a delicious apple sauce that you can serve as a dessert or even use as a garnish for game meat, poultry or other dishes.

Tip

Pop a cinnamon stick into each apple before roasting.
