Macrobiotics is a way of life and because of that it explains the basic aspects according to our personal needs in harmony with nature. This philosophy helps us to improve self development holistically by means of a balanced diet and using different body-mind connection techniques.
We can develop our potential with macrobiotics to know ourselves better, so we can decide what our body needs in every moment to be happy, be healthier and achieve our dreams.
Macrobiotics is also used to heal our body in case of disease or as a prevention to live happy and healthy without loss of vitality. Adapting your diet in a macrobiotic way we can have enough energy to practice extreme sports. Even if we don't have those physical needs, we can choose the rightest diet to increase our brain function and be more productive. All is about our goals in life, and food can help dramatically.
Food is the foundation for our lives in macrobiotics. Depending on the quality of the foods and the right proportions we can enhance our blood quality- no extreme ups and downs in blood sugar, stable pH, etc.- that helps our body to be healthy and, what is the most important, happy.
It is very important to undersand that human beings are part of nature, so we need to flow with nature cycles. That means, for example, that eating ice cream in the middle of winter can deplete our energy, because in that moment of the year we need more hot foods. Macrobiotics also recommends using non processed, natural foods and local products.
Foods that are part of our most ancient traditions are the most healthy in macrobiotics. Whole grains, beans and seeds belong to all different cultures and are present in popular dishes. The refinement process of foods has been proved as non healthy for human beings.
Vegetables give us the proper balance in nutrients as a complement for whole grains and also offer variety to our diet. Enjoying seasonal organic foods shouldn't be something for wealthy people, it should be for everyone and be part of our daily habbits, as our ancestors did many years ago.

Hola, nos encanta tu interés por la alimentación saludable y especialmente la macrobiótica. Muchos de los productos que utilizamos, especialmente los cereales integrales y las legumbres, eran "comunes" hace algunos años, y es interesante volverlos a traer en la dieta. Respecto a los productos japoneses, no son imprescindibles para una dieta habitual, aunque muchos de ellos tienen un poder medicinal muy interesante y por eso los incorporamos a las recetas.

Quiero vivir mejo, y para esto busco comer bien y decidi iniciar en la Macrobiótica y miro recetas de esto, pero cuando veo los ingredientes, ¡Por Dios!. ¡Hay recetas de macrobiotica con cosas comunes?
